I am Krishna, from Bhutan, and I love to cook a wide variety of dishes. Among those dishes the hot and spicy sauces are of a particular interest to me.

K-eZay is an authentic Bhutanese sauce full of spices and authentic Himalayan flavors. It is one of the first Bhutanese sauces which is prepared and distributed in Europe. I would like to bring the true taste of Himalayan region in general and Bhutanese culture in particular to every household in the European market.

I used to prepare this sauce as a side dish whenever we had family and friends get-together. Everyone liked the sauce and suggested that I build a business around it. Although I was very much interested in a prospective business around a humble sauce, I was not so sure about the food business regulations and market here in the Netherlands. When I got a chance to join Mama’s Koelkas Academy, an organization that empowers women to follow their dreams and start their own business, I was very excited as it helped me gain the necessary knowledge and confidence to start my own business of homemade Bhutanese sauce.
